DEPLOYABLE SPECIALIZED FORCES (DSF)
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆
The Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF), formerly known as the Deployable Operations Group (DOG), are a unique entity of the Coast Guard that provide highly trained, well equipped, and specifically assigned units to the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and joint-service operational and tactical commands. The original DOG was established on 20 July 2007 and headquarted in Arlington, VA. On 1 October 2013, it was decommissioned and all units previously assigned to the DOG were separated between the Coast Guard Area commands. Subsequently, it was renamed Deployable Specialized Forces.
Depolyable Specialized Forces is comprised of the following unit types:
